Just weeks ago, the Supreme Court began its latest term. The Court is considering cases that could restrict our right to vote, to access medicated abortion care nationwide, to regulate big banks, to expose companies violating our civil rights and so much more. Becca Balint (VT at large), Jodi Jacobson, Executive Director, Healthcare Across Borders, Sarah Lipton-Lubet, Executive Director, Take Back the Court Action Fund, Nicole Regalado, Vice President of Campaigns, UltraViolet and Pamela Merritt, Executive Director, Medical Student for Choice for a discussion on how anti-abortion extremists are planning to twist the Comstock Act to try to ban abortion nationwide, even in states where abortion remains legal. Advocates are urging Congress to act decisively to repeal this 1873 law dating from when women couldn’t even vote. This law threatens not just reproductive rights, but the entire fabric of public health in the United States.
